Volunteers who are interested in serving on the Mania 4 Organizing Commitee please sign up here.

We'll need people to coordinate the vendors for the vendor showcase and freebie stuff along with possible sponsorship of events, coordinate press release to let media know about the event, contact hotel destinations, coordinate the Homecoming Migration drives from east coast and west coast, etc.

You don't need to be in Michigan to do this. Most of the planning and coordination can be handled remotely. I'm sure there will be some kind of reward for helping out though at this point I haven't thought of it yet.

Right now I just need a list of potential volunteers so I know how many folks can have things delegated to them.

Thanks,
Brian

Brian, you're aware of the type of job I have and my limitations regarding communicating during working hours. As well as my less obvious limitations. wacko.gif

Bearing that in mind, I am yours to command, O Kahuna.

Brian,
I'll do what I can too. I have zero experience with doing this kind of stuff, and as a Knight of Columbus, I know I'm lousy at soliciting for donations. sad.gif

I also know nothing about talking to the media, but I can work with Art if he's willing to try to make some contacts. WAIT...did I just volunteer to work with Art????? wacko.gif

And of course you have me as a gopher when we're in Dearborn.

BTW, Given that I'm on a lease, I'll probably be flying to Detroit...to bad.

Oh...
And as for a thankyou gift...

Just get Jonathon to take us for another "special" ride in his Navagator.

Yeah, you did. The question is do I agree to work with Joe

I, too, have zero experience, but of course am at your service senőr & senőra Presidente.

Brian and I had little or no experience in this either and we've pulled off how many MANIA's now?? and are running a car club that we did not know how it would go -

I have to admit I do have a little experience coordinating events and business meeting - running events and such - that was my job prior to being Mrs. Kahuna and Mama Kahuna -

We will appreciate any and all help that we can get - with a potentially larger number of attendees it will be four (get it - MANIA IV) times the work as the previous ones!!! And to be honest and totally selfish, this way Brian and I can enjoy the event instead of working our behinds - off blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

And of course, Brian and I will help all the volunteers as much as we can - so you won't be left alone - we will have lots of communication either via email or phone calls.

I guess Debbie already volunteered me to coordinate the caravan from the West, so I would be happy to do my best on that.

I can help in other areas as needed, so just let me know.
kuruption
I volunteer to help inform the other volunteers how they are doing their job wrong!

In all seriousness, I would like to help, but probably not until the new year. I've got some things this fall that will take up the majority of my time.

Let me know if anything needs to be done after the new year, and I'll see what I can do.
Lolaj42
Brian & Debbie, you can count on me to help in anyway.
Murray
Me too! Just let me know what you need done.

Looks like I & possibly my wife will be out for M4 . In another life I was a hotel convention services manager and later a sales & marketing director If there's anything I can do to lend a hand It would be my pleasure bowdown.gif

Rugh? (or as close an approximation to a Tim Allen grunt as I can type!_

Bill, definitely can use your skillset! We're looking at hotels in the Northville area of MI. Please email me and I can let you know what we are planning.

Thanks for your help!

I'm late in volunteering too, Brian. In a former life, I ran a marketing services agency for about 20 years and was intimately involved with advertising and PR campaigns. We also did tons of event-planning work for our clients, including seminars, user-group meetings, and trade shows. If I can ever be of assistance to LLSOC, just let me know.

Dan,

Consider yourself volunteered! We can definitely use your background! I may have to schedule a conference call with you and Bill to discuss our options. :llsocflag:

OK, Brian. I sent an e-mail about this to you.

Brian;

conf call sounds good--sat noon(eastern time) is a good time for me, done some prelim snooping for hotels & looks like the rate of about $100 could be had at one of the nicer ones in the area, I've got some old friends in Ann Arbor who might have some suggestions too. I'll try & get in touch with them.
