I'm a new member and have never been to a LLSOC event. Somebody mentioned a Northern California get together a couple weeks ago, but I lost the thread. Does this happen? Would really love to go. Have not done any club events in a car yet, only motorcycles. Please include me if something comes up.

WOW!!! Were you accross the street from a park, field, fairgrounds, or something like that?? My daughter and I went for a long walk and I seem to remember seeing an LS parked in that area.

Across from the fair grounds. That's where I live. Big white house, 200 feet of picket fence and a big old red barn.

I am all for a No. Calif get-together.
Ferndale would be great! Ferndale is a fun place, and a drive along the Lost Coast area through Petrolia is magnificent, although a narrow road in poor condition. We do it each Sept. in our motorcycle club, and we terminate in The Avenue of the Giants (Magnificent Giant Redwoods along the Eel River.)
The Oyster Farm near Olema on Tomales Bay was wonderful last year!
And for the motorcyclist, have you looked into Honda (any brand welcome!!!) Sport Touring Association - HSTA?
There is a 3 day trip to San Luis Obispo April first - my daughter & I attend it each year.

There are two big time movies that will give you a look at Ferndale. "Outbreak" with Dustin Hoffman, Reane Russo, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey etc.etc. The other one is "The Majestic" with Jim Carrey. Both were filmed hear. You can also find out more at this web site. http://www.humboldt1.com/chamber.

Hey guys....

You don't have to wait for Bob (Bebop) to put together an LLSOC Event. Any of you can organize it. Just come up with a date, a place, an activity... and make it happen.

I do it all the time and it's really not that hard. And once you come up with a plan, Bob will be able to email all the No. Cal. members with the info.

So this goes for all club members everywhere...
You don't need to be a Chapter or Regional Director to plan an LLSOC Get Together. You can do it yourself. If there is someplace you want to go, or something you want to do as a group let it be known and then make the plans.

We always encourage all LLSOC Members to come forward with ideas and suggestions for future club events.
It's YOUR club too ya know.
And it only takes 2 members to make it a party!

I could put on a BBQ if folks wanted to come up this way. Beautiful area to see. 4 to 5 hours
from bay area. Lots of B&B accommodations in Ferndale. Anybody interested ? Let me know.

I am ready for another northern chapter get-together. me personally i would say san francisco, maybe in a park.

Im thinking about Tony and family and the rest of southern chapter, 10 hours up to ferndale is a pretty long drive. Halfway from ferndale and LA is about monterey, close enough, how about a bbq there? maybe even inside 17 mile drive. i just came from there months ago, and they have some great picnic areas with great views.
